Having read the very informative ‘Help I’m a Kitty Mom’ written by this very knowledgeable author, and having three much loved felines myself, I was very keen to download this book using Unlimited.
FIP is something which I have not personally come across with my cats (thankfully), however, the author has had experience of it, and writes this book very sensitively, yet extremely practically.
The first chapter, where she is saying goodbye to Gabby is heart rending to anyone who loves animals, not only because you feel for Linda, but also because you cannot help but reflect on all the animals you have lost at the same time.
However, this book contains a lot of very sensible advice, honest opinions and frank talk about this devastating disease. The authors personal experiences with dealing with the disease, must I think, make it a must have for anyone finding themselves in the same situation.
Although this book is about an extremely sad subject, it also explains in layman’s terms the disease and answers many of the questions which must go through an owners head when facing the diagnosis.
